VEEDERSBURG, Ind. (CNS) -- Services will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the First Christian Church of Veedersburg for Mrs. Nora Edna Furr, 84. She died at 3:50 a.m. Sunday (Aug. 22, 1976) at the Covington Manor Health Center. The Rev. Charles Wood will officiate. Burial will be in Rockfield Cemetery at Veedersburg. Friends will be received from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. today at the Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg. Born April 10, 1892, in Fountain County, she was the daughter of Henry and Nannie Mae MacCrackin Clickner. She was married June 4, 1913, in Veedersburg to Freeman Glen Furr, who survives. He is a resident of the Covington Manor Health Center. Mrs. Furr had been a resident of Covington Manor for the past year. A life resident of Fountain County, she was a member of the First Christian Church of Veedersburg where she was a former Sunday school teacher. Mrs. Furr also was an honorary Gold Star Member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Other survivors include three sons, Mont Byron of Creve Coeur, Ill., Dr. Jack Dean of Hillsboro and James Richard of La Crosse, Wis.; a daughter, Mrs. Naomi Ruth Kesner of Brookhaven, Miss.; 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
